Stress and inflammation is the root cause of many dysfunctions and diseases with researchers now finding that many cancers are not genetic, but 90 per cent of cancers are in fact epigenetic, caused by our environment, our stress levels and mindset, as well as from the food we eat and how we live.

This new research alarmingly aligns with recent findings by the Australian Employee Insights Report that concluded we are stressed more that ever, feeling like we’re out of control and general unhappy.

The report found that:

  • more than two thirds (68%) of Australian workers don’t feel in control at work and more than half (54%) feel stressed at least weekly
  • culture and experience rated higher than financial benefits highlighting the value employees place on a great company culture
  • the majority of (79%) say their employer could do more to improve their experience at work

So why is everyone so stressed?

The 2018 Report found that some of the biggest causes of workplace stress was lack of work-life balance and too much change at work, which aligns with my own findings from the women I coach who are stressed and have some stage of Adrenal Fatigue.

These results are alarming given that stress impacts the five pillars of wellbeing; positive emotions, engagement, positive relationships, meaning and fulfilment through accomplishment.

Through the coaching process, we address exactly how to increase wellbeing from a science based positive psychology approach to increase wellbeing and happiness, as well as resilience, which gives them the strategies of being able to adapt with change, but also how to manage stress and recover from Adrenal Fatigue through a natural holistic way; using a neuroscience science based approach.

This way, they have the exact specific action steps to take when they’re stressed and overwhelmed, and able to adapt them in real time to their own unique situation to empower their thoughts, emotions and behaviours and get a whole lot more control into their day.
